How Fortnite Matchmaking Works

If you’re a Fortnite player, you know that finding the right match can sometimes be a challenge. You want to play with players who are at your skill level, but how does the game decide who you get matched with? In other words, how does Fortnite matchmaking work?

Well, according to Fortnite’s official website, the game uses a number of factors to match players together. These include the player’s skill level, the mode they’re playing, and the player’s ping (i.e. the time it takes for their actions to be transmitted to the server and back).

But wait, what about your account level? Don’t you get matched with players who are at the same level as you? Not necessarily. While your account level does play a role in matchmaking, it’s not the only factor. In fact, the game will often match you with players who are a few levels above or below you in order to create a balanced match.

So, if you’re wondering why you’re getting matched with players who are better or worse than you, don’t blame it on your account level. It’s just the way Fortnite’s matchmaking system works. And remember, even if you don’t get matched with the best players every time, at least you’re not stuck playing with bots all the time.

But hey, if you’re still not satisfied with your matchmaking experience, there’s always the option to play with your friends. Just create a party and invite them to join you, and you’ll be able to play together and have a more enjoyable matchmaking experience. Good luck!
